Melbourne, Australia – Bizcap is proud to share that it has been named a Best Place to Work in Australia in 2024.

The achievement positions Bizcap among 100 companies of its size across Australia to have made the list of best workplaces, after being shortlisted using rigorous analytics and confidential employee feedback collated by Great Place to Work®, the global authority on workplace culture.

In curating what makes a Best Workplace™ in Australia, Great Place to Work used the same methodology as it does in curating the renowned Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For in the US and Fortune’s World’s Best Workplaces.

The Best Workplaces™ in Australia List 2024 highlights organisations committed to fostering workplace equity, ensuring their employees feel safe, heard, challenged and valued. Bizcap made the list of top small companies, those with 30 to 99 staff.

The achievement comes after Bizcap was earlier this year Certified™ as a Great Place to Work, a prestigious award based entirely on what current employees say about their experience working at Bizcap. This year, 99% of employees said Bizcap is a great place to work – compared with 56% of employees at a typical Australia-based company.

In announcing the Best Workplaces of 2024, Rebecca Moulynox, General Manager of Great Place to Work Australia, emphasised the increasing importance of trust within organisations, noting it as essential for fostering a positive workplace culture.

"The standout trait of Australia's Best 100 Workplaces is the deep-seated trust that permeates through each level of the organisations. This trust enhances the employee experience, transforming these workplaces into environments where exceptional talent thrives. Such organisations are not only successful in retaining top talent but also in creating resilient, dynamic cultures that drive business growth and positively impact the broader Australian business landscape." Moulynox said.

Bizcap Being Best

“Being named a Best Workplace recognises how at Bizcap we create an environment where people feel valued, respected and empowered to be their authentic selves – closing the gap between how they are outside of work and at work,” says Bizcap Co-Founder and Joint Managing Director Zalman Blachman. “Our leaders cultivate an innovative and dynamic atmosphere and foster a culture of appreciation for unique perspectives, ensuring each team member feels recognised and celebrated.”

Bizcap prides itself on having an outstanding workplace culture in which integrity and trust are key. Our leaders are committed to doing what they say they’ll do, consistently, and we deem it imperative that when our people say they value something, their behaviours reflect that. This includes having authentic conversations, and prioritising people and connections.

It also includes fostering a safe but demanding environment, where people are encouraged to innovate, create and take risks, whilst taking ownership and accountability over their roles.

Additional measures that contribute to Bizcap’s superior workplace culture include:

  1. Frequent social events and activities to deepen connections among team members and across departments, and enhance the employee experience.
  2. Weekly ‘family style’ lunch with inclusive dietary options so that everyone can share a meal. When the entire office gathers in our dining hall, it nurtures relationships, fosters collaboration and makes room for innovative ideas to emerge.
  3. Numerous women in leadership roles and no gender pay gap, as evidenced by a recent analysis of staff salaries. This showcases our commitment to gender equality.
  4. Learning and development opportunities for both manager and employee-led initiatives.
  5. Leadership development and mentorship programs offered to new and emerging leaders.
  6. International secondments and transfers to an expanding network of global entities within the Bizcap group.

According to Great Place To Work research, job seekers are 4.5 times more likely to find a great boss at a Certified great workplace. Additionally, employees at Certified workplaces are 93% more likely to look forward to coming to work, and are twice as likely to be paid fairly, earn a fair share of the company’s profits and have a fair chance at promotion.

Bizcap was also recently recognised with a WeMoney Award for Outstanding Customer Service - Business Loans, and named a finalist for the Finnies awards for Excellence in Business Lending and Best Workplace Diversity.
